Do gas stoves and heat run from the same furnace?

I have a gas stove which is working fine but I have no heat. Could the pilot light still be out even though my stove is working?

Your furnace and your stove are two totally seperate units. The only thing they share is a gas line.

yup
most newer gas furnaces have electronic start with no continuous pilot
they do go bad
see if yours has pilot lighting instructions
if not call repair guy

It’s kind of hard to understand your question but let me see if I can get this straight….. You have gas appliances, and your stove works but your house is cold, and you want to know if the pilot on the furnace is out, right?

To check the pilot light on your furnace simply remove the front cover plate of the furnace and see if you see a flame. if you do then your okay, if not you need to relight it.

Absolutely yes? They both are supplied with gas but-they are individually operated and maintaned. Call your local fire department and/or utility co. for immediate help. Don’t f’ with this dilema- your life may depend on it,right now!
