The links you provided aren’t working for me. But I’ll give you some advice on your decorating.
Get two large pieces of cardboard and cut them down to about 12″x 12″ sqares. Then paint two layers of paint on each of them. Do one piece of cardboard for each color in your room. When you go to pick out accessories at the store, take your painted cardboard sqares with you. Set the cardboard sqares behind the accessories in the store and stand back a few feet to see how the accessory looks against the paint color.
I use this method to help me pick out furniture colors, curtain colors, picture frame colors, etc. It also helps in the reverse when you are picking the room color too by being able to put painter’s tape on the back of it and standing back a few feet. Compare it with the flooring and anything mounted on the walls like cabinets, trimwork, stuff that will stay in the room, etc.
For your accessories, it’s best to pick colors that contrast against the wall color. If the wall is a dark color, then you want to pick a light colored picture frame. If the wall is a light color, then pick a dark colored picture frame. Same goes with the furniture. This makes the things in the room POP and stand out against the wall, drawing your attention to them. That’s what you want unless you have an ugly old chair you want people to overlook.
Vases can also come in nice and handy and look great. Old Time Pottery is a great place to find cheap vases. Then I like to fill them with straw, dried grasses, or tree limbs from some hobby shop like Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, etc. It’s nice to have something real from nature inside of the room. And if it is something dry like dried grass you don’t have to worry about killing it like a plant. And it doesn’t look fake like fake plants do.

Based on the tv stand, it looks like you are going for a more traditional look. Personally, while I would stick with similar wood tones and styles for the furniture, I would jazz it up with accessories. I like something similar to this sofa that you can sink in, is neutral so you can use a ton of colorful throw pillows: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=931&f=24527
This would look cool on the walls and would bridge the room between traditional and more contemporary. http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=1435&f=8964
This coffee table set is gorgeous and has a very transitional style that would really work in any room: http://17thandriggs.com/recycledwoodcoffeetableduo.aspxLove the purple and I would really play it up in your otherwise more neutral room. Found a few “dusty” purple rugs here http://www.plazarugs.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2200
And I would use rich purple accents in various shades such as pairing this pillow http://17thandriggs.com/fernpillow.aspx with other complementary shades.
Good luck!

your question is a little complicated for the format. Anyhow, I think all the furniture in a room should be of the same shade, so use oak furnitures. As you have two different colored walls, do not over accessories but put two nice paintings/posters that goes with the theme.
Also, printed curtains are in style now, so if you have simple furnitures, use a bright floral pattern silk curtain.
