If you can't figure out a good solution go back where you bought your sink and ask questions. A standard disposal should be able to fit. With a sloped drain opening your plumbing might be interesting underneath.

Kohler does have a disposer flange, although I'm not sure if it will be compatible with the kitchenaid product. The model number is K-11352 and can be found on their website, or you can probably get it where you got you sink.

It should go right in. The kitchen sink drain opening people and the garbage disposal people (as well as the basket strainer people) are among the few to actually come up with a standard size.

There aren't any adapters available. If you aren't comfortable with putty (I would be) then you can use 100% clear silicon as an alternative.

There should be some type of adapter. I'd call kitchenaid to ask, but its possible you might have to get a new disposal too.
