installing a new kitchen sink. The drain opening and garbage disposal drain collar don’t match. ?
The drain opening in the new sink is 5″, but the collar for the garbage disposal is 4-1/2″. Because the drain opening is sloped, I don’t think I will be abale to seal the drain, even with the plumber’s putty. Are any sort of adapters available? It is a kitchenaid garbage disposal and a Kohler sink.
There should be some type of adapter. I’d call kitchenaid to ask, but its possible you might have to get a new disposal too.
