I think that Sam's Club delivers! I am also going to DIY my flowers (and cupcakes and centerpieces and flowergirl baskets....) and I think on their website it says they will deliver!

Yes!!! all grocery stores order their flowers from a warehouse where they are also able to order premade arrangements for their own display case. if you talk to you grocery store florist, they should have a catalog of arrangements and prices that can be ordered. usually they come in boxes of 5, and run for around $30 each. your local florist can make sure they are delivered to the grocery store (for you to pick up) the day of the wedding or the day before. its a great way to get all of your centerpieces at a really cheap price (i paid $200 each for my wedding). Also, you can either buy premade bouquets for your ceremony bouquets...or the florist can put something together for you. if it is from a grocery store, the bouquets (assembled with ribbon) shouldn't cost you more than $40 each (i paid $90 each for mine) and boutineres should be around $15. I'd go talk to your local grocery store florist as soon as possible. They will appreciate as much notice and planning as possible!

Yes, I bought my wedding flowers, and flowers for every occasion, from a small corner flower/grocery store. The lady who worked there arranging the flowers, and part time cashier, was known for her beautiful arrangements. She did an incredible job of lengthy floral arrangements for the candelabra, my bouquet, attendant's bouquets and small arrangements for the back of each chair and the ends of the pews in the church.

Speak to the person who works in the grocery store and find out on what day they receive their flowers. If they are delivered on Monday and your wedding is on Saturday, it might not be the best place to buy them. However, if they receive them on Thursday or Friday, they will certainly be fresh on Saturday. Take a look at the arrangements they have displayed in the store and see who has an 'eye' for nice arrangements. Find out what they are able to do and, if the price is good, go for it.

My mom bought 2 dozen white roses from Sam's Club the morning of my wedding. It cost about $14. We cut off the stems (just a little) and got rid of any thorns we saw. Then we tied a blue ribbon (wedding color) around them. That was my bouquet. Absolutely gorgeous. So I think it's a great idea. But keep in mind what flower you're getting and whether or not it's in season at the time of your wedding. Keep an eye on the selection that is available at your grocery store and if they're pretty consistent with nice fresh flowers, go for it. Otherwise, try to find a flower shop or a wholesale flower store you can purchase from.

oh sh*t no.

i really wouldnt advise to get them from a grocery store, simply because they are not as fresh as flower shops and are far more likely to die earlier throughout the day.

they ARE your wedding flowers and you do want them to stay at their freshest throughout the whole day and all the photos!!!
