Nutone Hugger Ceiling Fan
UPDATE: This fan has been replaced with a Casablanca Delta II. Nutone 52″ Hugger ceiling fan. The blade arms are messed up from my house’s previous owners, so it wobbles, and when it wobbles it buzzes as heard and seen in the video

I have so many childhood fans, but two that are closest to my heart are the Nutone Decorator (from my old house, I NEED one complete in AB) and Airmaster industrials (installed at my church, I got a few from there when they were removed). I used to stare at those Airmasters all through the church service, I have fond memories of tuning out the sermon and imagining those fans on high speed. XD

Ah, so it’s a Friction Drive. In that case it does not have a K-55 motor. These fans are very odd and cool. There’s a vertically mounted motor in the housing that has a little rubber piece at the end of the shaft. The rubber piece turns the piece that the blades are mounted to, thus the name Friction Drive, because the fan is driven by friction. Jeremy LOVES those fans, he’s got a bunch as you can see on Flickr. I see you’ve seen Emerson Collie’s video on how it works…

That’s what I try to do in the way of lights as well. If they’re needed, I put the lowest wattage possible in them so you can still really look at the fan and not burn your eye out. In my new Casablanca Fan Lair downstairs every light kit has a 15 watt bulb in it, no more. I’m really a fan of indirect mood lighting, lamps and stuff that light the room, not the ceiling.
