I need some advice on pellet stoves. ?
Need to know how often the chimney be cleaned thoroughly. One person said at the end of the heating season, said the other every two weeks! Who is right?

We have heated a 2200 s.f.home with only a pellet stove for 7 years.
We shut it down and vacuum thoroughly inside daily. During heavy use in fall and winter, we vacuum the pipe (from outside) thoroughly once a week.
Even the guy that has to occasionally perform service on ours said that he wished every customer would keep their stove as clean as ours.
This is one of the most environmentally friendly ways to heat, it is very efficient, does a good job, and is economical, too. Ours paid for itself in about the first two years. We bought the big R2D2 type Thelin, with the battery back-up. This is one of the best investments we have made in our home.
